• Collective Worship

Every morning, we meet as a whole school to learn and reflect together. In this time, singing is very important to us, which is why the children enter the hall singing their hearts out and dancing to the music. We then discuss our different values and set the children different focuses for the week, giving them a chance to show our values in their everyday lives. Finally, we celebrate the week's achievements with our SHINE assembly, where the children get certificates for shining throughout the week.

Fr Nick led Collective Worship this Thursday, focusing on the transformative power of apology and forgiveness. We reflected on our own mistakes—such as "careless talk" or "careless play" that may have upset others—and watched as Fr Nick wrote these down on post-it notes and stuck them to heavy books. With the help of some brave volunteers, the books were placed into a bag one by one, visually demonstrating how our wrongdoings can become heavy burdens to carry.

As we practiced saying "sorry" and "I forgive you," the books were removed, showing how forgiveness lightens our emotional load. We concluded by exploring the story of Zacchaeus the tax collector, who was forgiven by Jesus and embraced a fresh start. It was a wonderful reminder that we all have the opportunity to make a new beginning!

Pupils conduct themselves well around the school. They are polite and well presented. They are clearly proud of their school.
