Pupil Premium

You may be aware of the Government funding ‘Pupil Premium given’ to schools for all children entitled to free school meals. This amount works out at approximately £600 per eligible pupil. For further information on this funding please go to: www.education.gov.uk/schools/pupilsupport/premuim

We ensure that the money is spent wisely and that ALL our children at Tewkesbury Church of England Primary School benefit from the additional funding.

We have a Saturday School club called ‘The 4:14 Academy’ where some children, through a series of creative activities are improving their Reading, Writing and Numeracy attainment. However, the main focus of the club is to develop a child’s confidence and self-esteem. To experience things out of their comfort zone. These activities require the children to be disciplined, independent and focused. This terms activities have included, Mechanics, Fashion design, Street Dance, Cookery, Drumming and Film making. For full details and pictures please visit  ‘The 4:14 Academy’ web page.

We provide a daily Breakfast Club.

We subsidised ALL trips and will continue to do so this year. Our school values life experiences, our staff know how much the children gain from visits to aid their learning.

We subsidise all three residential trips. Building independence and resilience promote self-esteem in our children.

We have purchased Apple iPads to engage learning at all levels.

Tewkesbury Church of England Primary School prides it’s self in putting the child first. We recognise that all children are not the same and that their experiences are very varied. Our Christian beliefs and ethos drives us forward in expecting and delivering high quality education with aspiration. The Pupil Premium is impacting on the overall attainment and progress of these children.
