Isle Of Wight School Trip 2011
News - Thursday 30th June
The sun shone again and with the blue sky and sea, the Island looked beautiful. This
was a very busy day! After a good breakfast we set off for Tennyson Down for our
walk to Alum Bay. After a mile or so we stopped at the monument and had our photo
taken (which is attached) After another mile we reached Alum Bay and had lunch. In
he Sand Shop everyone made a sand model before heading to the boat for a cruise around
the Needles. The sea was generally smooth and we heard lots of details about the
rocks and the lighthouse. We had an exciting ride on the chairlift and then headed
to west Wight pool for an hour's swim and play. We returned for dinner, packed our
cases, completed our shopping at Shanklin Chine and then had a time on the beach.
On return to the Hotel we had a drink and biscuit before going to bed very tired
- home tomorrow!
We hope to be back at school by 5 p.m., depending on traffic, but will ring school
with more detail when we are about an hour from Tewkesbury.
