Isle Of Wight School Trip 2010
News - Monday 28th June.
We travelled down to Avebury safely and had a quick tour before heading for Southampton.
The weather was hot and sunny, but the coach was air-conditioned which was great.
We caught the ferry and sat outside on the top deck to have out lunch. The Solent
was blue and we cruised across watching the yachts and ferries crossing the beautiful,
smooth sea. The children all travelled well, no one was travel sick (or seasick)
and all enjoyed the ferry journey. We docked and drove through Cowes and on to Shanklin
arriving at the Hotel at 3 p.m. Everyone has unpacked and is in the Lounge writing
postcards home and will soon set off to walk along the seaside in search of a postbox.
We will return by 5.45 p.m. ready for dinner, writing of our diaries and then to
head out to the beach. It is beautifully sunny and everyone is excited and having
