We have been celebrating World Nursery Rhyme Awareness this term.
The children have been learning different nursery rhymes in session. They have enjoyed listening to the rhymes and joining in with actions to help them remember the rhymes too.
The World Nursery Rhyme website explains ‘Nursery rhymes are excellent teaching tools and can help to develop: vocabulary, language and literacy skills, numeracy skills, social, physical and emotional skills.’
We hope you enjoyed receiving your rhyme packs and have been busy using them with your children at home.
If you follow the link below you will find they are already counting down to next years world nursery rhyme week! You can also find further information and resources to support your child with learning nursery rhymes at home! https://www.worldnurseryrhymeweek.com/
