Reception have been learning all about owls! They listened to the story of Owl Babies which sparked their interest into learning all about owls.
The children have learnt some wonderful facts about owls and have been enjoying telling everyone they see about what they have learnt. They have also thought about ways to represent their thoughts and ideas in their play.
In their welly boot session the children collected natural materials to make an owl. They thought about the different features and made sure they remembered to include them on their owl. The children enjoyed showing their friends their creations and telling them where the talons, beak/bill and feathered wings were.
The children have also used playdough to mould into an owl. They used their hands to make the shape of the owl and then used different resources to add the features of the owl.
