OUTSTANDING
Last week we had our SIAMS inspection (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodists Schools) I am delighted to announce that we were awarded the OUTSTANDING grade. The full report is on our website. Below are just a few comments made by the inspector.
‘Embedded Christian values shape the life and ethos of the school. This has a direct influence on the excellent standards of behaviour, positive attitudes and high quality relationships enjoyed across the school.’
‘As one pupil described, ‘Jesus made such a big difference to the world, we can easily make a difference to our own community if, together, we follow Jesus’ example’
‘The school’s inclusive approach gives opportunity to all, irrespective of background, culture or physical ability.’
‘The school makes a huge investment in the personal development and welfare of its pupils, ensuring that pastoral care is exemplary. Unique in the sight of God, and as an embodiment of the school’s vision, each is ‘valued, challenged and nurtured to aspire to reach their full potential’.
Safer Internet Day – for parents
To coincide with Safer Internet Day, we are hosting an event presented by the ‘You’re not on the back foot!’ team for parents to learn about the impact of Social Media on children. The event includes presentations from two speakers a short film depicting a teenager’s personal experience as well as an opportunity for parents to share their concerns.
This will take place at 6:30pm on Wednesday 7th February.
