What a challenging end to the Year, kitchen out of order, snow days and burst water mains!  I think Miss Davis’s class elves may be responsible!

But as they say these things are sent to try us. Throughout this difficult week the children have been amazing. We have had supply teachers in to cover staff illness and they commented on how well behaved the children were. We will have our own Christmas week when we return in the New Year. Christmas lunch will be on Wednesday 3rd January and the Nativity  KS1 praise assembly will be on Friday 5th January at 9.30am. Fortunately KS2 praise assembly was able to go ahead and again we were able to celebrate the range of achievements the children had made.

We said goodbye to Mrs Meadows as she retired from teaching and she wanted me to pass on her thank you to you all for your kind gifts and support over the 12 years she has been at this school.  Mr Hibell has also left to take up a supply position and we have a retired Headteacher taking up his position. I am sure you will all join me in wishing them both every success in the future.

The staff and I would like to thank you for your generous gifts and pray you have a Happy Christmas and New Year.

Open Days

For the September intake 2018 there are two open days in the new year. Wednesday 10th and 11th January at 10.00am.

After school clubs

Can parents be extra vigilant during the dark nights when collecting their children from the after school clubs at Cascade car park. The children are naturally excited to see their parents and will run to them as other parents are driving off. It is particularly difficult to spot younger children in this light. I draw your attention back to an accident in Tewkesbury at this time of year when a 5 year old was run over on the crossing by Cascades which resulted in very serious injuries.
