A reminder that all newsletters are on our website www.tewkesbury.primary.co.uk these are not every week but as and when needed. You can have it sent to your personal email address. (please give updated details to the office).

The Year 6 children led a very moving assembly this morning followed by every child laying their own poppies. The respect and reflection that each child from the youngest to the eldest demonstrated was truly inspiring.

We have some spare poppies if parents would also like to lay a poppy. Please can every effort be made to keep younger children off this special area. Thank you.

Our football team were victorious in the local schools tournament and will now face the winners of the Cheltenham schools tournament. Well done!

Children in Need

This year it is on Friday 17th November and we will be having a non-uniform day. The theme this year is ‘Get your ears on’ or wear something spotty! We will be encouraging the children to bring small change to cover a giant Pudsey.

Book Sale

In aid of Chldren in Need there will be a book sale on the front playground after school next Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th November,  you can help us by donating good quality books that can be sold. Please bring your books to the main office. Thank you.

Disco – Change to times

Our Christmas disco will be on Thursday 30th November for Reception, Y1 & Y2 children this will be from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. The children will be allowed to change into their party clothes in the classroom.The KS2 children (Y3,4,5 & 6) disco will follow from 5.00pm to 6.30pm. Consent forms will be coming home with children shortly.  The cost is £2.50 per ticket.  Please put payment and consent form in an envelope with your childs details on. Thank you.

Cake Sale

Year 2 are having a cake sale on Monday 13th November at breaktime. Cakes cost 50p each only one cake per child is permitted.

Community Centre

If you know of any charitable organisation that may need a venue for their group to meet please contact the school office. They may qualify for a free room.

Open Days – Reception Parents 2018

We have three open mornings for parents with children looking to start school in September 2018:-

Thursday 23rd November at 10.00am, Wednesday 10th January and Thursday 11th January at 10.00am.

Zumba Gold Chair is a fun chair based fitness class with Latin based and funky music. It is suitable for everyone especially beneficial for those with limited mobility, young at heart and wheelchair users. Every Wednesdays at 11 am. Totally FREE! At the Community Centre.

Pound is a heart pumping workout without the need to jump around. Drumming, Pilates and cardio movements are joined together to give a full body workout. Become the music! Come and join us on Thursdays at 6.30 pm in the main hall. £4.00 per class. Suitable for everyone 16+ and with any fitness level. Bring a Pilates mat and lots of water.
