Newsletter #19 – 03/3/17

The children have had a packed week of activities. Y5 welcomed Mr. Colin Smith (Theatre in Education specialist) to the school on Tuesday 28th February, to put together and perform ‘A Play in a Day.’ They had 4 1/2 hours to practise and present the play to the whole school by 2:30! This was no mean feat. ‘Tom’s Star’ was the end result and the children acquitted themselves extremely well. The links to the current theme; ‘We Have Lift Off’ were referenced throughout and served to reinforce their learning. A great day was had by all.
The whole school forgot to get dressed and came in pyjamas on Thursday to celebrate World Book Day. Mr Scorer launched the day with a story in assembly of the three little wolves!
Sporting Success

Ross was the boys overall winner! Sydney Hammond and Jenna Fellows also achieved top placings and all four have been selected to run at the county trials.
