Barton Street Road Closures

Many of you will be well aware of the planned resurfacing work and road closures due to take place in Barton Street next week, 7-11 November, between the hours of 07.30 and 17.30. Please consider allowing extra time for your journey to school during that week.

Remembrance Poppies

We will be selling poppies in the front playground before school next week.

Lateness

I am pleased to say that the number of children arriving late this week averaged at 10. Thank you for working with us in giving the children the best possible start to their education. Of course we are always striving for every child to be in school on time every day throughout the year. If you are experiencing these problems and would like some advice or support from school please ask to see Miss Black, SENDco.

Photographs

Next week, Tuesday 8th November is individual and family photograph day. If you are wanting family photographs please come from 8.15am into the hall. Brothers and sisters in school will automatically have family groups and individual photographs taken. You have no obligation to purchase the photographs.

Christmas Gifts

For the last two years the PTFA have sold ‘parent gifts’ to the children at a small cost. The gifts have been excellent value for money and the children have really enjoyed decorating the gift bags, choosing individual gifts and hiding them at home until the big day. This year the gifts will be sold on Friday 25th November throughout the day. Each gift will be priced at £3.00. If you would like your child to buy a gift for either parent or both please send your child in with the £3 (in an envelope) per gift on Friday 25th November.

A reminder for Parent Prayer Group

We are looking into the possibility of setting up a Tewkesbury Primary School Parent Prayer Group. If you feel this is something you would be interested in, please contact the school office.

Pre-School

Our pre-school is increasing weekly with new children joining. We have Free Funded places available for all 2, 3 and 4 year olds. The Pre-School team is led by Miss Rowland and Mrs McMahon and supported by Mrs Hughes, Miss Hewett, Miss Smith and Miss Merriman. If you have a pre-school aged child why not drop by and see the team and view the amazing learning experiences.
